LOST wrap party

Last weekend was the Lost wrap party and we are fortunate enough to have two great friends who work on the show to get us in. :) Alyse (below on the left) works in the Accounting Department and Shiloh (below on the right) works in the Art Department. Christian and I are a little behind on watching the show, we are just starting season 3. We're lame, but we are trying to catch up. I was able to get a couple of pictures with my faves. See my stalker pictures below.

I couldn't decide which smile of Sawyers I liked better, so I posted them both! He really is as handsome in person:

We spent the most time chatting with Hurley. Very cool guy. Look at Sawyer blowing into my ear in the back. He just couldn't get enough:

John Locke (aka Lock Hatch). He's dreamy too (but not in this picture):

Ben, the Other's leader. This photo is funny because our heads are tilted together and touching, as though we are dear friends. Locke actually took this picture of us. He kind of just stole my camera and insisted on taking it:

As you watch the series finally of the show, don't blink because you might just see Christian and I roaming around in the background as extras. :)

Waimanalo with the Thomsons

Last Saturday we went to Waimanalo Beach with the Thomson family and Miss Haley. This beach day couldn't have been more perfect; the water was warm, light wind, the sun was out. Tristan is starting to enjoy getting slammed by the waves. Not one peep comes out of him, he loves it apparently. It scares me!

Tristan with his new best friend, Ezra. Ezra was adopted into the Thomson Family on April 1st and he is probably the easiest baby I have ever seen. He's such a sweetheart!
Tristan takes family photos very seriously.
Constantly pointing. I think there was a helicopter above us.

The Thomson Family. Love them.

p.s. I'm over the huge photos! I still need to figure out how to size them perfectly. Working on it.

family in town

My mom, sister, aunt and cousin were in town for a visit last week. They stayed at the Sheraton Hotel and I played tourist for the week, it was fun! We did some pool time, beach days, shopped a little, you know, the things you do when company is in town. They hadn't seen Tristan since Christmas and he has changed so much since then. They got to see how crazy and cute this kid is now. He's walking and talking now, (his own jibber jabber language). He's evening signing a little, which I'm confused about because I barely signed to him in the first place and I completely stopped when he was about 9 months old. Little ones are so observant and smart. Anyways, it was such a great week with my family. I realize that when you are having fun, you forget to take your camera out and take pictures. This is all I have! :(

Miss Taryn (my cousin) played the role of nanny for the week and jumped on it when Tristan needed to walk around, swim, or go up and down on the escalator. We all kind of took turns but sweet Taryn was more than willing.

The crack. Please note that these board shorts are 3-6 month old in size! We have a drawer full of board shorts that we are just waiting for him to grow into. This picture was taken after his non-swimmer diaper filled up with water to maximum capacity, ready to blow. Then he gets to run around free. We did have one poop accident while at the beach. He went to hide of course to do his business behind two other people's lounge chairs. I looked over and saw what he was doing and I got there just as his little dumpling fell out of his shorts, and then he ran away. I had to clean it up as if he were my dog, apologize to the people around him, and then rinse him off in the ocean. The risks I take for letting him run around without a diaper.

My beautiful sister Chelcie holding a tired little boy. He really does love his auntie but he just wasn't having it at the time.

Thanks for your visit! You will be missed.

xzibit meets tristan

The other night we went into Waikiki to have dinner with Shandra's mom and some fam that was visiting. We sat outside and took turns the whole time chasing Tristan around and letting him ride up and down the nearby escalators (his new favorite thing in the world).

Later, at the end of dinner, I was following him as he headed past the entrance to the restaurant toward the escalators and saw someone I thought I recognized.
He was walking into the restaurant with a couple others and stopped and kind of laughed when he saw Tristan running at him. He even commented on his little 'flip flops'.
I looked at him and thought, "That's Xzibit!" Then he went inside.

For some reason I have an uncanny ability to recognize famous people, and even though I hardly listen to hip hop at all, I knew it was him. I also am proud of my ability to research and obtain any information from the internet. Once, we were in F21 and heard a song we liked. I went home after and worked my magic. Through the wonders of Google I was soon able to find out what the song was. It was on some random girl's MySpace page, she may have worked at an F21 or something. Shandra was impressed.

Yesterday, I was thinking about the previous night's event and had to prove it to myself. I worked my internet research skills to track down Xzibit's exact whereabouts
. Sure enough, his Twitter page from Thursday morning said 'On my way to Hawaii'. Nailed it. It was him, and he had given a shout out to my son.

To sum up, Tristan and Xzibit are now boyz.

my boys

Wow, my photos are kind of too big. Please be patient with me while I experiment with my photo sizes. Mahalo!

I'm going to confess something, and it's the first time I will be saying this out loud (or typing it out loud), but I wouldn't mind if I ended up with all boys.
(Did I just jinx myself?) I just love having a little boy right now. He has so many crazy things he wants to do or get into.
You can also tell that he just adores his "da da" by the way he looks at him or how excited he gets when he comes home from work. It's really cute.
He wants to do everything his dad does, and he thinks he can! He's obsessed with his boards, surf and skate, and tries to stand on them and ride
them on his own. T also loves to rock out when Christian drops a beat. He's just a munchkin and we just love the little man.

Now don't get me wrong, I would love to have a little girl as well, I just wouldn't mind if Tristan had a couple of brothers to tackle.

larger photos

wow! I've always wondered how to make our photos bigger on here. Now you will be able to see how blurry our photos really are! Actually, this is a little too big, but it's still fun.

Photo taken by Christian. Is it wrong that I want to put mascara on those lashes?

easter sunday

Easter was really nice and relaxing for us. We attempted to get a few general conference talks in but for some reason Tristan decided that he likes to scream over the people talking on the computer, so it was hard to hear any of the talks. It rained all day, which isn't unusual for Manoa, but I think that the whole island was wet, so I'm sure that many Easter egg hunts were canceled. :( We had a small dinner party with a couple of families here at our house.
Easter morning. Tristan wakes up and exits his room knowing that it was going to be a magical day.
The Easter basket is spotted.
The basketball in his basket is a recycled toy. In fact, it's not even his, it's a friends and we need to return it. I'm so mean.
Finding gold fish in his plastic eggs.
Chewing on his gold fishies.
Destroying the basket.
Reading his card from Tutu and Grandpa.
He climbed into Christian's lap thinking it was story time.
Thank you Tutu for the monkey beach towel!
Post dinner discussions with Paul and the Larsons.

Abigail in her cute Easter dress.

We hope that everyone had a lovely Easter!

more beach time

A couple of weeks ago we went to a beach near Diamond Head with some friends. Tristan has taken a strong liking to the ocean. He could probably stay in the water all day if we let him, but normally when his lips start turning blue and he starts shivering, we figure it's time to take him out. Even with goose bumps and blue lips, he's still smiling and splashing in the water, as happy as can be. We are exciting for the warm Summer water to hit us in a couple of months. Not that I should complain, the water is close to 80 degrees right now on most days.

Blue lips.

Tristan's favorite thing to do after he plays and swims with his dad; snuggle up next to mom (diaper-less) and eat snacks in the warm sun.

Check out those teeth!
