E Komo Mai

Court tagged us to take some behind the scene shots of our humble home. May seem pretty glamorous, but it's business as usual at the Hastings Hale.

the closet: somehow shandra's clothes have taken over the entire space.
note the futon in the right corner. guests: that's your bed waiting for you.

the fridge: Usually have a bit more frozen pizza, at least one from each tried and true brand, but you get the idea. It's a staple, doctor recommended. Dr. Kringel that is. Root beer to seal the deal, POG and various fruits. Nuff said.

the sink: Botanical garden view makes doing dishes a bit more enjoyable.

the toilet: pretty standard, really.

kid #1: the boys/swords. Used to dominate lineups and slay dragons. They anxiously await the arrival of their new brother as they continue to grow yellow and old. Soon.

kid #2: Monstera, aka 'monster'. Recently taken to his new indoor home, we're pleased with his new growth. Thanks for cleaning the air little friend.

washer & dryer: In an area known as mosquito alley, laundry is typically my job, as Shandra is immediately destroyed upon setting foot outside. During Manoa rains, a beautiful waterfall forms beyond the machines, hence the canvas covers used to protect them from the elements.
note: Shandra's board asleep above the machines, "please play with me" it cries.

favorite part of house: living room. A panorama of one of our fav spots. We enjoy it mainly for the view of the valley- the mountains one way, Waikiki and the ocean the other. The breeze is always nice, and it's our spot to curl up and read a mag or throw on a netflix.

favorite shoes: Cuz I'm keepin it real. Can't leave home without them. Slippahs fo life.

** So now we tag Jenn Ray Ray & Whitney (just make a blog already!). Photo-document the same places in your respective homes without tampering or altering in any way. Enjoy.

I'm loving it. When do we get to come see for ourselves? P.S. Love the sloth sitting on the chair in the living room.

Love it. It's fun seeing other peoples places. LOVE the scene from the livingroom window. You definately don't have a scene like that in Las Vegas. I also can't believe your washer and dryer are outdoors. It reminds me of living with my grandparents and our laundry facility was out in the garage, but you had to walk outdoors down a pathway to get to it. Sucked when it was raining.
