This picture was taken during our walk yesterday. The sky was so thick, it almost looked like the ocean when you looked up-side-down. Pretty cool. And if you look really really close, you can see Christian inside one of those barrels.

tristan's nursery nook

With the limited space that we have, we tried our best to make a cozy little nursery for baby T. We still have a few more things to finish up in the room but this is what it looks like so far.



Peaberry Ice crib bedding we ordered online. I think they are discontinuing this print, we got it just in time. Christian's childhood stuffed animals. And my cute Young Women sewed me the blanket holder on the side of the crib. It's a perfect space saver! Maybe one day T will use this crib :) Right now, he sleeps in his vibrate chair. He's not a fan of laying down flat yet.

Bonding Time

Baby Blessing and Visitors

We blessed baby Tristan on Sunday. My whole family flew over for the blessing and a mini vacation and Christian's parents flew over for the weekend. We belong to such wonderful families and are so grateful for all of their support. I was really nervous for the blessing only because it was my second time back at church with Tristan and I'm still not sure how he behaves in public, especially a reverent sacrament meeting. Christian gave a beautiful blessing and Tristan did so great. Not a peep out of him.

T got to meet some of his cousins for the first time. Baby Von was born in December and Addison just turned three.

Von is such a sweet baby and a snuggle bug. (It was my first time meeting Von too!) Addison is a big ham and loves to entertain. She found Papa's glasses and reading book and pretended to read for almost an hour.

It's fun that the boys are so close in age.

Our first time in a restaurant with Tristan. We went to Dukes in Waikiki. He did really well at first but there was one point in the night where Tristan, Von, and Addison were all screaming and crying at the same time. That's when we knew we had to leave. We apologized to the tables next to us. :)


I'm bummed that I didn't get more pictures of the family while they were here. I think they were looking for crabs in this picture.

His first day at the beach

We took T to the North Shore on Saturday and met up with some friends. It amazed us how well he did. He lasted 3 hours! It did however take a village to care for him because we were all a little nervous about his first outing in the sun. Everyone was great. He kind of just cruised and went with the flow. We think he liked it.

It was a great and relaxing weekend!

i've watched this trailer over and over, i'm excited already. spike jonze, arcade fire, forest whitaker, etc. i think there's potential for greatness here. sweet!
