the joys of parenting

While changing another poopy diaper at 4 am on our bed, Betsy decided to push really hard and squirt her poop all over me and the sheets around me. I'm not kidding, it was like a water gun! Sheets and mattress pad were stripped. At 6:30, same morning, we woke up lying in a puddle of Tristan's urine, soaked through the newly changed sheets and mattress, (Since the pad was gone).

It's a good thing we think those kids are cute, otherwise...

What you needed was a little incentive to kick the kids out of your bed. You got it!

Sorry to hear it was such an eventful night. Hopefully the day is better now that everyone has gotten it out of their system!

Sometimes, I have found, cute isn't enough. But then again patience was never my strong suite.

The real fun begins when they both get the flu and are puking simultaneously. Oh the joys...

Oh the joys of parenthood. Maggie used to do that (I can't tell you how many times i had to strip my clothes off and put them straight in the laundry) during a diaper change of hers...but never had to strip the entire bed. UGH! We are now dealing with spit up all over the bed every time i change a diaper at night!
